William E. "Bill" LaRose, 86, of 1608 Iris Dr., Manitowoc, WI, former Mishicot resident, entered into eternal life on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the Manitowoc Health Care Center.
Bill was born March 5, 1926 in Two Rivers to the late Eldren and Lois Rowe LaRose and has been a lifelong area resident.
He married the former Bette Holmes September 10, 1949 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot.

He proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Philidelphia. Bill worked for the Village of Mishicot for twenty years as the Chief Maintanence Supervisor and also worked for the Mirro Corporation. He enjoyed woodworking, attending his family's many activities, and going out to eat, and especially enjoyed the desserts. Bill was an avid Packer and Brewer fan. He and his wife traveled the 50 states. Bill loved hugging his grandchildren. He was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church, of Mishicot, and the Mishicot VFW Kempen-Staudinger-Terens Post# 7753.

He is survived by his loving wife, Bette; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Debbie LaRose, Olympia, Wa.; Dawn and Larry Miller, Sherwood, Wis.; Shelly and Greg Smith, Manitowoc; one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Janet LaRose, Rice Lake, Wis., seven grandchildren, Lissa Miller, Joe (Rachel) Miller, Jeff Miller, Cassie Smith, Nikki Smith and her fiancee, Jake Korinek, Sarah LaRose and Heidi LaRose. He is further survived by one sister, Shirley (Rich) Novak, Jacksonville, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Adeline Holmes, Mishicot; Marjorie Holmes, Manitowoc; and a brother-in-law, Allan (Mary Jean) Holmes, of Bruce, Wis.; and by his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by an infant son, William LaRose; one brother, Eldren "Buddy" LaRose, one sister, Eloise LaRose Rosinsky, and by his brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot, with the Reverend John Becker officiating, with burial to follow in the Holy Cross Parish Cemetery in Mishicot. Relatives and friends may call after 9 a.m. on Thursday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, until the time of service at 11 a.m. There will be no Wednesday evening visitation. Military services will be held immediatley after the Mass of Christian Burial in the courtyard of the church, accorded by the Mishicot VFW Kempen-Staudinger-Terens Post # 7753.
