Alan Elliott Eads

Alan Elliott Eads, son of Albert and Betty Eads was born September 2, 1951 at Sioux City, Iowa and departed this life on June 15, 1977 at his home at the age of 25 years, nine months and 13 days.

His folks moved to the Truro community when he was in early childhood. He attended the grade and high schools at Truro, graduating from high school in 1969. He engaged in farming activities with his father with the exception of two years when he worked for Overhead Door Company at Davenport. He was a member of the Carpenter Union while engaged in that occupation.

On March 28, 1971 he was united in marriage to Patty Ann Kerns. To their union were born two sons: Shawn Michael and William Albert.

Surviving to mourn his passing are his wife, Patty Ann, and two sons, Shawn Michael and William Albert; his mother, Mrs. Albert (Betty) Eads; great aunts, Mrs. Marie Wiley of Burlington; two aunts, Mrs. Randal Johnson, Mrs. Helen Lange both of Odebolt, Iowa; an uncle, Earl Lindquist from Utah and an uncle, Robert Eads of California.

His father, Albert Eads, preceded him in death on July 26, 1976.

Alan was a fine upstanding and cheerful boy and man. He bore his illness of the last three and one-half years with cheerfulness and fortitude. Many are the words of appreciation spoken concerning him. In addition to the relatives named he has a great circle of other relatives and friends which will remember as a friend and helper.
