Mrs. Bessie Botsford, aged 73, of
Fort Plain, RD 1, died November
29 in Little Falls Hospital
Mrs. Botsford was born in Richfield
Springs, the daughter of Alexander
and Florence (Strait) Sickler.
She was a resident of Herkimer
County most of her life.
She was a member of the United
Methodist Church of Little Falls
and its WSCS; Nowandago Grange
of Newville; the Three Links Rebekah
Lodge of Little Falls and the
Fort Plain American Legion. She
was a Gold Star Mother.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs.
George Van Buren of Canoga Park,
Calif.; two brothers, Leon Sickler
of Fort Plain, RD 1, and Albert
Sickler of lllon, RD 2, and two sisters,
Mrs. Orson Hawkes of Little
Falls and Mrs. Louise Werner of
Mohawk.
Funeral services were held on
Sunday, December 1, from the
Swartz Funeral Home in Fort
Plain. Burial was in Van Hornesville
Cemetery.
