She had been ill for a week with an attack of Pneumonia. Her recovery was looked for on Tuesday afternoon before her death, as she appeared to have passed the crisis, but her heart was not strong enough.
Mrs. Dufek was born in Manitowoc County, in 1870, and before her marriage she was Miss Antoinette Kaiser. In the year 1900 she was married to Martin Dufek, and for a number of years they made their home on a farm in the town of Nasewaupee in Door County. About 12 years ago, the family moved to this ward, which has been their home ever since.
Antoinette is survived by her husband Martin, son Charles, a student at St. Norbert College, who arrived home on Tuesday evening, due to the kindness of Otto Green, who went after him in his car, and brought him to the bedside of his mother. The funeral was held on Saturday morning from Corpus Christi Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Pfeifer officiating, and a large number of relatives, friends and neighbors attended the services.
