Charles Butler

Charles Butler, 25, of 2811 North Forty-ninth avenue, died Sunday at Laramie, Wyo.,, where he had gone a week ago with his sister, Mrs. Charles Kennedy. He had been ill for a year. Mrs. Kennedy and the widow returned to Omaha with the body Tuesday night. Butler had been a teller at the Bank of Bennington and later at the Bank of Bennington. Surviving are his wife, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Butler, of Omaha; two sisters, Mrs. Kennedy of Laramie, and Mrs. Gail Mordick of Omaha, and a brother, Benjamin, of Waterloo. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock at Holy Name church. Burial will be in Holy Sepulcher cemetery.

CHARLES BUTLER


Charles Butler, 24, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. William Butler of Benson, former residents if this city, passed away a week ago last Saturday at Laramie, Wyo., where he had gone five days previous in hopes of benefitting his health. He had been in ill health for the past year.


Funeral rites were conducted in Wednesday forenoon of last week in Benson with interment in Benson cemetery. Mrs. Kate Bliss, Mrs. Edward McIntyre, Mr. and Mrs. James McIntosh, B. C. McIntosh, all of Schuyler, and Mrs. Louis Jelinek of Abie, attended the funeral rites.


Mr. Butler was born in Benson and after his graduation from Benson high school was employed at the Benson Bank until the time of his death. He was united in marriage in Benson in November 1927 to Miss Hazel Malloy.


The surviving relatives are the widow, the parents, and the following brothers and sisters: Benjamin Butler of Waterloo; Mrs. Mary Murdock of Fontenelle; Mrs. Lina Kennedy of Laramie, Wyo.; David Washburn of New Jersey.


Mr. Butler had may friends in Schuyler as he visited here on several occasions at the home of his aunt, Mrs. Kate Bliss. He was very prominent in social and business circles in Benson and was regarded as one of the very best young men in his home city.
