He was self-employed in the electronic repair business and an Army Air Corps veteran. He was a member of St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church in Kittanning. He enjoyed gardening and hunting with his sons.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Lucille "Lucy" (Neal) Visnesky; children, John Visnesky (Holly), of Mt. Lebanon, Tina Wilson (Scott), of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Timothy Visnesky (Carrie), of Kittanning, Kenneth Visnesky (Cheryl), of Freeport, Jeffrey Visnesky, of Cleveland, N.C., and adopted son, John Fitzgerald, of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Jeremy, Jessica, Ashley, Michael, Shaun, Morgan, Christopher, Nichole, Natalie, Benjamin, Park and Michelle; three step-grandchildren, Chuckie, Brandon and Joel; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Rose Puz, of Kittanning.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Louis Anthony Visnesky and George Visnesky; sisters, Sally Hopper and Wanda Zimmerman; and niece, Joyce Visnesky.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the KENNEDY & BLODGETT FUNERAL HOME in Kittanning. Parting prayers will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass at 1 p.m. at St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church in Kittanning with the Rev. Douglas Dorula celebrating.
Interment in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.
