On New Year's Day the Death Angel visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Bellew and took for its victim their darling baby son. He was a sweet baby and was loved by all that knew him. He was born March 27th, 1941, and died January 1, 1942. His stay on earth was short. He was just a little bud here on earth to bloom in Heaven. We all loved him, but Jesus loved him best. He was laid to rest in Antioch Cemetery to await the coming of the Lord. The flower girls were Miss Pauline Tyler, Miss Demervel Lewis and Miss Repsey Sheritt, all of Warrior, Route 1.
We loved him, yes we loved him,
But the angels loved him more,
They have sweetly called him,
To Yonder shining shore.
Written by Miss Pauline Tyler, Route 1, Warrior, Alabama.

Last Rites Held For Thomas Hoyt Bellew.
Funeral services were conducted January the second at Antioch Church for Thomas Hoyy Bellew, the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Bellew, age nine months and three days. He passed away at the Norwood Hospital following a brief illness.
Surviving are his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Bellew, one brother, Ray Bellew, all of Warrior, Route 1; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. F.W. Whited and Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Bellew, all of Straight Mountain, and a host of relatives and friends. Revs. Blalock and Pace officiating. Lewis-Service of Warrior in charge.
