Mrs. Zentner had been a familiar part of the fashion scene in the Fox Valley where she began her career with the Boston Store, in Oshkosh, as a sales clerk, then with the former H.C. Prange Company, in Appleton, Wis., as a buyer in ladies sportswear. Mrs. Zentner helped to form and was the manager of the Parrot Cage in Neenah, Wis., and then went to open her own store in 1968, POLLY Z's, in Oshkosh, Wis.
Upon her retirement in 1985, she moved to Fort Myers, Fla. In 1991, she opened Polly's Fashions, which she owned until 1998. She recently worked for Jacobson's Department Stores in Fort Myers, Fla.
She is survived by her daughter, Frances Ann Cronin of Hayward, Wis.; one grandson, Paul Brian Cronin, Atlanta, Ga.; her brothers and sisters, James P. James of Markesan, Wis., Ann Johnson of Rhinelander, Wis., Mary Norton of Oshkosh, Wis., and Bessie Albrecht, Ernest James, John James and Helen Rose, all of Fond du Lac, Wis.
Services: A service of remembrance will be held in Oshkosh, Wis., in the spring of 2002. The place and time will be announced. The family requests that memorials be sent in her name to Hope Hospice House, 2430 Diplomat Pkwy., East Cape Coral, FL 33909. Coral Ridge Funeral Home and Cemetery is serving the family.
