Clarence Franklin Durham, 77, of Fort Smith passed away Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015.
He was born Sept. 19, 1938, in Fort Smith to the late Clarence Edwin Durham and Camilla Carlene Weigel Durham.

He graduated from Fort Smith High School and received a bachelor of science in education from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Wash. He served as teacher and principal for schools in Tacoma, Wash., and Arkansas throughout his career, with primary service at Sophia Meyer Elementary in Van Buren.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Fort Smith, a founding school board member of Fort Smith Christian School and avid supporter of Donald W. Reynolds Cancer Support House.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Brasher, and one brother, Victor Durham.

Service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Fort Smith, followed by a short reception. A private burial with family later that day will be held at Oak Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary in Fort Smith.

Mr. Durham is survived by his wife, Darlene of the home; three daughters, Joanie Bahsoon and her husband Alie, April Durham and Carol McClain and her husband Jerry; two sons, Frank Durham and his wife Stacy Hubbell and Danny Brasher. He is also survived by his brother, Tim Durham and his wife Shirley, and three grandchildren, Matthew Bahsoon, Lauren Bahsoon and Victoria McClain, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Tim Durham, Frank Durham, Danny Brasher, Alie Bahsoon, Matthew Bahsoon and Jerry McClain.
