HONEY GROVE

Betty Dixon, 62, of Honey Grove died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2001, at her home.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel with Bob Money officiating. Burial will be Forest Hill Cemetery with Clay A. Dixon, Glen Dixon, Hank Parker, Jeff Hill, Bobby R. Dixon, and Tony Serrao as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

She was born May 30, 1939, in Paris to George Allen Mims, Jr., and Mildred Nowell Mims.

She married Stanley Franklin Dixon April 8, 1955, in Blue Ridge.

She was a real estate agent and member of Honey Grove Church of Christ.

Surviving are her husband; her mother, Mildred Mims of Honey Grove; son and daughter-in-law, Clay and Carrie Dixon of Corpus Christi; daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Tony Serrao of Honey Grove; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father May 17, 1997.

She was a beloved mother and grandmother.
