Grace Ellen O'Neill was the 3rd child and daughter of Forrest N. Brown of Oakland Beach, Warwick and Lillie Brandreth of England. Grace worked in the R.I. jewelry industry, also in domestic and restaurant service much of her adult life before meeting her husband, (Pvt.) Harry Anthony O'Neill, USA. They were married in Seekonk, MA in 1947 and parents of Robert Charles O'Neill. Often of ill-health, the couple lived a nomadic life through difficult times in post WWII Rhode Island. However, they developed strong friendship ties with Bertha M. Ford, of Cranston, Robert's caretaker. Although estranged from Harry for decades, Grace and "her"children enjoyed a close relationship with the Norman Gomes family of Providence. Note, Grace's first child, Richard Henry Brown, born 17Mar41, was raised by her parents, the Forest Nathan Brown's (Hope Shand) until she married Harry. Richard's whereabouts or location is still unk.
