He was the son of the late Lem Russell and Hattie Mayes Russell. Preceded in death by brother, Lawrence Russell. He was a member of Booker Ridge Original Church of God and a retiree of AFL Wire Inc.
Survived by wife, Maria Russell; son, Jason Russell; daughter, Salena Russell; brothers, Wayne (Pearlie), Lem (Denise), Eld. (Juanita), Gary, Leon, Steven Tyrone (Chasity) and Gregory Bernard Russell; sisters, Mary Ann Lockett, Mildred Jones and Vera (Frank) Constanza.
