Hester Bradshaw's first marriage was to James Corbett Medill, brother of Chicago Tribune publisher Joseph Medill (1828-1964); he died in the Civil War; there is no record of children by that marriage.
Hester Bradshaw's second marriage was to widower James Asbury Saxton (1816-1887); they were married August 6, 1882 at Canton, Ohio, where James Saxton was a prominent businessman and the father by his first marriage of Ida Saxton McKinley (1847-1907), wife of U.S. President William McKinley (1843-1901).
