Mrs. Millie Gleason Behrens, daughter of Elijah and Julia Gleason, was born in Utica, Nebraska March 15, 1878.
She was united in marriage to Fred Behrens on October 28, 1896. This union was blessed with seven children, four boys and three girls, one daughter having preceded her in death.
Mrs. Behrens was a member of Royal Neighbors and the W.S.C.S. of the Methodist church.
Her sould departed this life in her home in Goehner, Nebraska January 10, 1947 at the age of 68 years, 9 months and 26 days.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Fred; six children, Clarence, of New Orleans, La.; Roy, of Lincoln, Nebraska; Mrs. Verna Alexander, of Lincoln, Nebraska; Alsa, of Ceresco, Nebr.; Mrs. Lilly Maples of Lincoln; and Fred of North Wilbraham, Mass.; one brother, John Gleason; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Howard; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Last rites were held January 13, 1947, in Friedens Evangelical and Reformed Church, Goehner, Nebr., with Rev. Stanley Anderson in charge.
Interment was in Prairie Mound cemetery, Goehner.
