Alfred C. Bush, 79, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.
A funeral service will be held Monday, November 2nd at 11:00 am at the Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur with Rev. Beth Benham, pastor of Gouverneur United Methodist Church officiating and burial in East Riverside Cemetery, Gouverneur. Calling hours are Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.
Alfred was born in Gouverneur on May 16, 1936, the son of Carl and Alice Andrews Bush.
He worked at Groveton Paper Company in Natural Dam for over 10 years, Purina Feed Company in Gouverneur, and retired from the St. Lawrence County Highway Department in 1997 after 20 years.
Al enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and enjoyed animals, especially raising sled dogs.
Al is survived by his daughter Amy Waugh of Gouverneur, his 3 grandchildren Danielle, Kyle, and Matthew Waugh, his companion Donalda Jackson of Richville, a brother Wayne Bush of Gouverneur, a sister Arlene Widdifield of Virginia, cousins, nieces and nephews.
