Hazleton Plain Speaker; Wednesday, August 6, 1952:
Mrs. Anna Catherine Walker, 61, of 22 1/2 East Chestnut street, died suddenly yesterday afternoon in the Geisinger Memorial Hospital, Danville. Born in Tresckow, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Rohrbach. She resided in Hazleton the greater part of her life. A member of Trinity Lutheran Church, this city, she was enrolled in the Service Class of that church.
Her husband, Chris Walker, and three step-children survive. They are: John, of Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Rena Brink, of Drums; and Mrs. Dorothy Kressman, of Alexandria, Va. There are two grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. from the Bachman Bros. Funeral Home, West Broad street. Rev. Joseph Shuster will officiate at the services. Interment will be in Vine street cemetery. Friends may call Thursday afternoon and evening.
