Julia Annette Brown Woodard, 68, died Saturday afternoon (Aug. 19, 2006) at Satilla Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

She was a native of Pierce County but had lived many years in South Florida before moving back to Pierce County in 1977.

She was preceded in death by her father Rommie Lee Brown.

She was a member of Youmans Chapel Baptist Church. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion. She retired from Flash Foods with 10 years of service.

Survivors include her husband, Warner Woodard, of Blackshear;

her mother, Julia Batten Arnold, of Blackshear;
four brothers,
Wendell Brown (wife Doris), of Gainesville, Fla.,
Jerry Brown (wife Barbara), of Benson, N.C.,
Ronald Brown (wife Nora), of Blackshear, and
Stanley Brown, of Memphis, Tenn.;
one sister, Almeeda Smith, of Woodward, Okla.;
and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

one step-daughter, Tammie Phillips (husband Carl), of Blackshear;
one step-son, Larry Carpenter (wife Carol), of Eustis, Fla.;

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Enon Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
