Herschel L. Warner
Port Huron-Herschel L. Warner, 86, of 2631 Kraft Road, died Monday, July 27, 1987, in Port Huron Hospital.
He was born March 28, 1901, in Almont Township, and had lived in Port Huron most of his life. He married Marion Koehn in 1951, in Port Huron.
Mr. Warner retired from the Port Huron and Detroit Railroad in 1964. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and Port Huron Oddfellows Lodge.
He is survived by his wife; son Harold G. "Bud" Warner; a daughter, Margaret Wade, all of Port Huron; five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Arthur Smith Funeral Homes North- Chapel. The Rev. Keith Sparks, pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene, will officiate. Burial will be in Kinney Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mark and Harland Warner, James Shultz, Allen Swanson, Clifford Wurzel, and J. Clyde Warren.
Visiting is from 6-9 p.m. today and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. An Oddfellows Lodge of Sorrow service will be said at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene, or the Michigan Heart Association.
