Raymond J. Hoy, of Onarga, Ill died in his sleep last night.
He was born on October 27, 1951 at Del Rey, Ill to Frank and Bessie (Bryant) Hoy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Pearl and a half-brother James (Buck) Bryant.
He married Loretta Ellen McBride at Jelico, Tenn they had the following children Tammi (Jesse) Campos of Onarga, Tonya (Isodore) Avalos of Gilman, Ill, Jeannie (Carmelo Gaytan) Hoy Onarga, Illand Paula (Efrian Avalos) Sutton Onarga, Ill. He was the grandfather to Jessie and Maya Campos, Christa and Nick Avalos, Addie and Carmen Gaytan, Jazmine, Jennifer and Jayden. He also is survived by brothers Walter and Billy Hoy, and two sisters Teresa and Debbie Hoy.
Raymond was a retired truck driver. He loved to fish when his health would permit it. He caught a 67 pound flat head catfish on a night crawler at Clinton Lake.
He will be buried at the Onarga Cemetery.
