Luvenger Jones Booker was born in Pavo, Georgia, who was the baby girl of 14 children born to Eula Mae and William Davis Sr. Sister Booker was a Gospel recording artist who was an outstanding singer, song writer, and a true woman of God who was loving and caring to her family, friends and everyone she came in contact with. She graduated from Boston Girls High School, trained at OIC where she obtained secretarial skills and certification to go on to work for Boston University for many years. Years later she became self employed as a Day Care Provider. She married the love of her life, Donald Jones- Booker( Preceded in death)and later added to that union, they had three children... Dionne, Reginald and Anthony. Sister Booker's ministry was spreading the Gospel Of Jesus Christ through song... and as a child, she sung in her church choir. She was raised in a family of singers, who sung gospel so it came natural for her. She also formed a Gospel group that consisted of two sisters, two brother's and a cousin back in the early 1980's Luvenger Booker and the Disciples. They debut their first album with songs like "Thank God I'm Free, "Ain't No Way", "Oh God" ant the heart touching " Save Me". In 2009, She collaborated on songs with her brother Arthur Davis " Waiting On The Lord" and nephew Tyrone " Mul- Ty " Coleman "Only Jesus" who also co- produced her God's Project Anointed CD. She was also the Music Director Of the Community Revival & Outreach Ministries Choir. Sister Booker will forever be remembered for her anointed voice that touched so many people all over the world and she leaves behind a legacy of great music. Jesus was the center of sister Booker's life, she trusted Him for everything she never let go of her faith she had in him. She is now singing in the Heavenly Choir. Her life did not end, it's just beginning an Eternal Life in the arms of Christ Jesus. We can only pray and hope that we see her again. Sister Booker lived the life she sung about. She fought a good fight she kept the faith her living was not in vain, well done my good and faithful servant to God be the Glory! God has welcomed another soldier home!. She leaves to cherish her memories her children: Dionne, Reginald and Anthony... her seven grandchildren,Ciera, Latrelle, Tyrell, Raequan, Jonathan, Rachael and Ariana, two daughter-in-laws Stephanie and JonAndria and future son-in-law Tyrone Smith, two sisters Flossie Woods and Luella Tyler and two brothers Jimmy Davis and Arthur Davis and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
