J. D. BATEMAN, DIED.
On the eve of going to press with the paper this Wednesday afternoon. It was learned that J. D. Bateman, prominent citizen of Edgewood, died at the family home at an early hour Wednesday morning after a long illness. His untimely death will be deplored by many friends throughout the county. The deceased was the father of Mrs. M. S. Derrick of Wills Point, who was at the family home when her father passed away.
