He was born on May 16, 1931 in Sandy Springs, GA to William E. and Bessie Stewart Amos. Jim served his country as an army veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired Food Inspector for Durkees Food Service and was a member of the North Charlestown Church of God. He was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.
Jim is survived by his wife, Irene Amos; daughters, Karen Haggadone (Steve) of Hogansville, GA, Tina Anderson (Mike) of Hampton, GA, Sabrina Fenstemacher (Ray) of Hampton, GA, Barbara King of Jeffersonville and Vickie Warner (Wayne) of Shalimar, FL; sons, Russell Segraves (Nancy) of Jeffersonville and Terry Segraves of Kissimmee, FL; sister Louise Liddell of Memphis, TN and 15 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday November 5, 2015 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and after 9 a.m. on Thursday.
