TEXAS CITY - Marie Phillips, 84, of Texas City went home to be with Jesus on April 15,1999.

Mrs. Phillips, born in Mishawaka, Indiana, had been a resident of Texas City since 1945. She was a member of
Highlands Baptist Church in La Marque and a member of the
Gem & Mineral Society.

Mrs. Phillips is survived by her husband, Clois Phillips of Texas City; son, Patrick Nash of Colorado; daughter, Joyce Hamilton of Santa Fe; stepdaughter, JoAnn Brooks of
Houston; two brothers, Ed Johnson of Florida and Bob
Johnson of Indiana. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was Saturday, April 17th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Sunday, April 18th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of James Crowder Funeral Home, La Marque. Interment to follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster. The Rev. Leo Smith of Highlands Baptist Church officiating.

Pallbearers will be Joe Sheedy, Harold Lewis, Don Hamilton, David Hamilton, Mike Luke and Ward Arnold.
