Bette's second daughter, Penny Ann was born in 1957. Hank and Bette built their family home in Olde Stockdale and moved in about 1956. They enjoyed their home and wonderful friendships with all the neighbors on their end of the street.

Bette and Hank divorced in 1970, and Bette stayed in the family home until her death in 2000. She was close with many friends, some her work family, some just good friends.
