Douglas, 81, of Delta Township, MI: Our beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather was surrounded by his family when he went home to be with our Lord on November 3, 2015.

Doug graduated from Sexton High School in 1952, and M.S.U. in 1956 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business. He served as a 1st LT from 1956-1958 in the U.S. Army. In 1958, he joined Auto Owners Insurance where Doug worked for 40 years, and retired as vice-president in 1998.

He was a member of St. Gerard Church. Doug was an avid M.S.U. Spartan fan, enjoyed golfing, and annual family vacations on Elk Lake.

Surviving are his children, Susan (John) Lotus, Julie (Ross) Wilt, and Brian (Diana) Harper; 10 grandchildren, Michelle (Michael) Monson, Jennifer Harper, Christopher Harper, Eric Wilt, Kelly Wilt, Carolyn Wilt, Collin Lotus, Grant Lotus, Kyle Harper, and Lahna Harper; 2 great-grandchildren, Joshua and Isabella Monson; sister, Janet (Roger) Wilson, and many nieces,
nephews, and friends.

Doug was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Joan, in 2012; sons, Kenneth in 1986 and Michael in 2005

A vigil service was held at the Tiffany Funeral Home. Funeral Liturgy was Saturday, Nov 7, at St. Gerard Catholic Church, Lansing with Fr. John P. Klein presiding. Saturday at church. Rite of committal Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
