She married Henry Martyn Harwood on 4 Nov 1869. They had at least four children: Edwin Martin, Abbie Lemira, Arthur P. and Harrison Bruce Harwood.

Obituary of Mrs H. Martyn Harwood published 13 Nov 1891 in the Bennington Banner, First Ed. p. 4

Mrs H.M. Harwood, whose death occurred from a fever, October 20th, at her home in Southern California, was, during most of her married life, a resident of this place. Her maiden name was Orpha Bruce, and her early years were passed in Essex county, NY, where she was born. Some years previous to her marriage she removed with her father's family to Iowa, and became a resident of that state. In 1870 she was married to Henry Martyn Harwood, and came with him to make their home in Bennington. Mrs Harwood united with the First Congregational church, and so remained a faithful and beloved member, until some three years ago, when she withdrew to identify herself more closely with the people of God in her far off western home. [several sentences omitted because they contain no genealogical significance]. The health of some members of the family seemed to necessitate a change of climate. This change has proved to be beneficial. It may not have hastened her demise. She was ready to go, and her Savior drew her to himself. [several sentences omitted]. The esteem in which she was held in her western home may be seen by the following testimonial, taken from the Escondido Time of October 29th: The funeral took place from the family residence this Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock, Dr Harwood, a cousin, officiated and was assisted by the Rev C.B. Carlisle. Though brief the services were very impressive, the sublime character of the dead, the feeling remarks and the silent sorrow of the remaining loved ones all contributing to the sacredness of the occasion. Then followed the sad journey to Oak Hill cemetery, where the remains of the loved one were laid to rest, and they were followed thither by a large concourse of sympathizing friends and neigbors. [a number of sentences omitted because they lacked genealogical value].
