ANGELILLO, Vito A., M.D. Vito A. Angelillo M.D., 59, of Bristol, died on Wednesday, (December 21, 2005) at Bristol Hospital. Dr. Angelillo was born in Bristol on December 31, 1945, and was a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Pitaro) Angelillo, and a step-son of the late Frances Angelillo. He was raised in Bristol and attended Bristol schools. He graduated cum laude from St. Michael's College in 1967, then attended and graduated from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, NE. He served his residency in internal medicine at Creighton University and did his fellowship in pulmonary and critical care at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. Dr. Angelillo then spent the next 20 years on the faculty at Creighton University School of Medicine. During his teaching career at Creighton University, he was nominated for the Golden Apple award by the students 18 times, winning the award five times, he was awarded Faculty of the Year twice by the residents of the University, and he was awarded Faculty of the Year one time by the University. He retired from teaching and returned to Bristol in 1999, where he continued to do consulting work in medical legal cases. In Bristol, he served on the Disability Commission and also the Board of Fire Commissioners.
