Joanne M. Jalley, 66, of 39 8th St. La Salle, died on October 31, 2015 at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 am Thursday in St. Valentine’s Church in Peru with Msgr. Brian Rejsek officiating. Burial will be in St. Vincent’s Cemetery in La Salle. Visitation will be from 4 to 7:00 pm Wednesday in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle. Additional visitation will be in the church on Thursday from 10:00 am until time of services.
Joanne was born in La Salle on April 16, 1949 to Chester A. and Mary H. (Stasiak) Wujek. She married Thomas Jalley on August 5, 1972. She worked as a Library Technician at Illinois Valley Community College for 20 years. Joanne was a member of St. Valentine’s Church in Peru. She was an avid Chicago Blackhawks and Cubs fan. She especially enjoyed reading and gardening. Joanne loved taking trips to Walt Disney World.
