Carmela Ann Anastasia, of Long Branch, died Saturday at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She was a registrar at the Long Branch Health Department for 20 years before retiring three years ago. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. Born in Long Branch, she was a life-long resident.

Surviving are six nephews, Bill Anastasia of Atlantic Highlands, Frank Anastasia of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Ernest Dorsett of Brick, Thomas Dorsett of Oakhurst, Ocean Township, Drew Dorsett of Ocean Township, and Dennis Dorsett of Mount Pocono, PA; three nieces, Elaine Anastasia, Joyce Pedone and Victoria Bolinger, all of Long Branch; and many grandnieces and grandnephews; and great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.

Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Damiano Funeral Home, Third and Franklin Avenues, Long Branch. A funeral will be held 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass at Holy Trinity Church. Interment will be in Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport. Memorial donations are requested to the Valerie Fund at Monmouth Medical Center, 300 Second Ave, Long Branch, NJ 07740 or Ronald McDonald House, P.O. Box 3237, Long Branch, NJ 07740.
