1906 - Married. On the 16th inst., by Rev. R. C. Weaver, Mr. Harvey DeLong, of Easton, to Miss Carrie M. Schaffer, of Zionsville.

1976 - Mrs. Carrie M. DeLong, 88, of 4747 Main St., Egypt, died in her home Friday. She was the widow of Harry DeLong, who died many years ago. Mrs. DeLong was a housekeeper for Amilio J. Gomez of Egypt for 31 years. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Osville and Mary (Stauffer) Schaffer. She was a member of Dubbs Memorial United Church of Christ, Allentown. Surviving are four sons, Paul H. Stoss of Germansville R. 1, Harold O. Stoss of Whitehall Township, and Earl F. and Herbert A. Stoss, both of Allentown; two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Miller of Perkasie and Verna, wife of Russell Davis of Allentown; two brothers, John P. Schaffer of Allentown and Stanley L. of Toms River, N.J.; a sister, Mrs. Mamie Smith of Allentown; 21 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 Highland St., Allentown. Calling hours will be 7-8:30 p.m. Monday.
