Grace Martha Taylor Dean, 95, of Hollywood, MD, died on Thursday, May 20, 2004 at her residence in Hollywood.

Born on December 5, 1908 in California, MD, she was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Beth Sheba Jones Taylor.

She was the wife of Sterling Wilson Dean, whom she married on July 12, 1931 at the Hollywood United Methodist Church and who preceded her in death in 1993.

Mrs. Dean was a member of the Hollywood United Methodist Church for over 70 years where she had served as Communion Steward and was a member of the Women's Society of Christian Service. She was a life long resident of St. Mary's County and was a homemaker who enjoyed volunteer work, serving 30 years with the Child Health Center clinic which was held at the Hollywood Methodist Church.
She enjoyed gardening, quilting, and spending time with friends and family, and was famous for her Fried Chicken and Stuffed Ham.

She loved her time with family and friends, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by sons James S. Dean, Alan G. Dean and Rodney F. Dean. of Lexington Park, MD, Donald W. Dean of Fairfax Station, VA, and daughter Barbara D. Trible of Hollywood, MD, 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by one brother, Webster Jones Taylor of Westminster, MD.
She was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, brothers Orem Jones Taylor, Thomas Chester Taylor, John Mervin Taylor, Dudley Winfield Taylor, Edgar Francis Taylor, Byron Walters Taylor, James Marshall Taylor and sisters Laura Eunice Wise, Myrtle Ruth Dare, Leona Madeline Relkin and Gertrude Elizabeth Mullinix.

The family will receive friends today, Friday, May 21, 2004 at the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A. in Leonardtown, MD from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 22, 2004 at the Hollywood United Methodist Church. The Reverend Sheldon Reese officiating. Interment will follow in the Joy Chapel Cemetery in Hollywood.

Serving as pallbearers will be Rick Dean, Danny Dean, Nick Yeitrakis, Craig Cavalier, Randy Raley and Danny Adams. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Cheryl Fever, Debra Raley and J.B. Roth.
