Margaret Ann Elmore Rushton, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. C. Stout in Belleville. She was 78 years old and died from the infirmities of age. Mrs. Rushton was the daughter of Moses and Rebecca Elmore and was born in southern Hendricks county near where she spent her lifetime. April 7, 1872, she was married to Reuben Rushton and they lived on the old homestead until his death. She continued to live there until in August 1930, when health began to fail and she went to the home of her daughter in Belleville. She had three daughters, Clara, Alta, and Nettie; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Rushton was widely known in the southern part of the county where her husband ran a huckster route for many years and she assisted with a small country store in their home.
