CHARLES JUNIOR MASON, 96, formerly of Hagerstown, died Saturday, May 22, 2004, in Woodbridge, Va. Born Nov. 1, 1907, in Shepherdstown, W.Va., he was the son of the late William H. and Martha J. Dyke Mason. His wife, Margaret C. McAnn Mason, died in 1996.

He retired from Sam Skinner Co. in Shepherdstown, W.Va., where he was a truck driver for more than 25 years. He was a member of Ebenezer AME Church in Hagerstown.

He is survived by five daughters, Lettea L. Cox, Karen L. Mason, Marguerite H. Smith, Jane E. Ingram and Donna M. Mason, all of Hagerstown; seven sons, Milford J. Mason of Hagerstown, Gregory L. Mason of Woodbridge, Kevin L. Mason of Johnstown, Pa., and Charles W. Mason, Curtis E. Mason, Denell M. Mason and Darnell M. Mason; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Services were held at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, Hagerstown; burial was in Cedar Lawn Memorial Gardens.
