Francisco "Frank" S. Ramirez passed away at his residence on August 21, 2006 with his family by his side after a short illness. He was born on April 14, 1930 in Victoria, Texas.

Frank graduated from St. Joseph High School and served honorably in the United States Air Force. He also retired from the United States Postal Service after 37 years of service where he held several leadership positions in the National Association of Letter Carriers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel G. Ramirez and Josephine Vela Ramirez; brothers: Daniel, Rafael, John Zaragoza, and Henry Ramirez; sisters: Olga Canales and Hope Pena-Layfield.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Ana Ramirez; children: Ted (Conception) Ramirez, Frank Ramirez, Jr., Olga (John) Lopez, and Jane (Jesse) Magallan; sisters: Inez Soliz, Alicia Vasquez, Rachael Trevino, and Lillian Quinonez; brother, Ricardo "Richard" Ramirez; grandchildren: Roxanne Ramirez, Diane Snell, Rolando Ramirez, Gayle Moon, Jennifer Mitchell, Melissa Cooley, Christopher Magallan, Michael Magallan, Mary Jane Magallan, Alina Magallan, and Ziad Atiya; as well as four great-grandchildren.

Visitation and a rosary were conducted Aug. 24 and a funeral service was held Aug. 25 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed at Seaside Memorial Park.

Pallbearers: Christopher Magallan, Michael Magallan, Rolando Ramirez, Thomas Pena, John Pena, and Ziad Atiya.
