Elias G. Gonzales, 72 of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on August 14, 2006. He was affectionately known as E.G. and Mr. G to many. He served his country in the United States Army while stationed in Germany. Following the military, he was a truck driver for 22 years and owned and operated Mr. G's Club until his retirement. E. G. had a love for fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Josefa Gonzales, and his wife, Virginia Gonzales.

E.G. is survived by his two sons, Elias Gonzales (Nina), Ramiro Lopez (Belinda) both of Corpus Christi, Texas; six grandchildren; two brothers, Nick Gonzales (Fina) and Joe Gonzales, both of Corpus Christi, Texas; six sisters, Paula Gonzales (Andrew) of Victoria, Texas, Petra Reyna of Refugio, Texas, Sabina Cordero of Mesquite, Texas, Angelita Gonzales, Dora Licerio and Maria Licerio (Thomas) all three of Corpus Christi, Texas.

Visitation and a rosary were conducted Aug. 17 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. A funeral mass was celebrated Aug. 18 at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Interment followed at Memory Gardens Cemetary.
