Donald T. Sheahan, age 82, a long time Grimms resident, was born to eternal life on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at St. Mary's at Felician Village, Manitowoc.Don was born on January 15, 1933 in the Town of Cato to James and Margaret (Daley) Sheahan. He was a graduate of Valders High School, and on October 25, 1958 was united in marriage to Joyce Fictum at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Manitowoc. The couple enjoyed traveling to many parts of the world, including his family's homeland of Ireland. In addition to farming, Donnie also worked as a carpenter and a construction worker. He also owned & operated Sheahan Industries for over 30 years. He was a member of Friends of St. Patrick's; Friends of the Branch River; and a longtime member of the Reedsville Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife, Joyce; their six children, Tom Sheahan of Cary, IL, Bob (Lisa) Sheahan of Oakfield, WI, Jeanne (Bob Baker) Sheahan of Alpharetta, GA, John (Louisa) Sheahan of Miami, FL, Kelly (Richard) Hoyer of Greenville, WI, and Tim Sheahan of St. Petersburg, FL; 15 grandchildren, Nick Sheahan, Kerry Sheahan, Craig Sheahan, Becca Sheahan, Brian Sheahan, Dan (Julia) DeBruler, Adam Debruler, Jen Herndon, Karen Anderson, Carly Baker, Hunter Dodson, Raquel Jones, Holly Sheahan, Caleb Hoyer, and Ian Hoyer; five great-grandchild: Lilah DeBruler, Cory Herndon, Ava Herndon, Ez Jones, and Angel Jones. He is further survived by two brothers and three sisters: James Sheahan of Manitowoc, John (Jeanette) Sheahan of Cato, Joan Dietrich of Reedsville, Anita Paulus of LaCrosse, and Karen (Seb) Schuh of Clarks Mills; several brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, many cousins, other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers and sisters: Rita Sheahan, Patrick Sheahan, Bernard Sheahan, Mary Rose Spielman, and Raphael Sheahan.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo - 1121 N. 14th Street, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Dave Pleier, with burial to follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Maple Grove.
