MANSFIELD: JOHN CHARLES AMOS passed away on November 8, 2015 (70). He grew up in southern Ohio and later moved to the Cleveland area where he graduated from Euclid High School (1963).

John enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served as a musician in the U.S. Navy band (Yokosuka, Japan). Upon his discharge he moved to Dallas, Texas where he started his family and graduated from The University of Texas at Dallas. Later in life his loyalty to the Armed Forces continued through his active membership at AMVETS Post #26 (Mansfield) where he served as Post Commander.

He is survived by his mother, Charlene, and brother, Harold (Connie), children: Jae (Marcia), Sean, and Jinai, grandchildren: Delaney, Jaedyn and Kendall, extended family and friends.

Memorial services will be held November 27, 2015 @ 1:30 p.m. (please arrive by 1:15 p.m.) at the Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville, Ohio, 44273.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Angelman Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati or AMVETS Post #26.
