A native of Jackson County, Mr. Hunnicutt was the son of Charles Emory Pruitt and Hazel Sanders Hunnicutt.
He had attended Bible Baptist Christian School in Royston and was associated with Matthew's Gifts and Design in Maysville. Mr. Hunnicutt was a member of Maysville Baptist Church, where he had served as pianist for two years.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mamie and Arthur Sanders, Maysville, and Toy and Cleo Pruitt, Jefferson.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 13, in the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, Athens, with the Rev. Chad Rising officiating. Burial was in Athens Memory Gardens. Tony Pruitt, David Lee, Jeff Sanders, Bert Sanders, Darrin Cain and Johnny Pruitt served as pallbearers.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include one sister, Melissa Cain, Loganville.
