Tiger was all of 2 lbs 2 oz when we brought him home 12/2/00. He quickly became a "family" dog. Very friendly, long haired Chihuahua, would love to play with anyone. Just tell him to find a stick, and off he went, sometimes finding a toothpick of a twig, sometimes finding a stick he could hardly pick up.
He was called many nick, names, depending who he he went to see. My daughter called him "little boy",l myself called him "My Tiger baby". Just to name a couple.
Up until about a year ago,he knew the minuet his Daddy was coming home. He'd hear the truck pulling up the street and start barking till he came in the door.
Bedtime was also a game ,every night he'd grab his "teddy bear" as we called it (it's a blue stuffed dog, almost as big as he was), run down the hallway and jump up on the bed with it,lay down with his nose laying over the neck of it,and fall asleep. In his last couple of years, jumping up on things became a bit harder. We picked him up,put him next to his Daddy or myself, and begin a game of what we called "nosey". All I had to say was "I'm gonna get that nose",and he'd burry his nose in my side,or under blankets and it was game on!
He loved to go "bye bye". Mention going to see my son Bobby, daughter Amy,or "wanna go see Aunt Michele",he was at the door before we could grab car keys!
Over the last couple of weeks we noticed a bad cough he developed, and as each day passed it got to the point were it had me up all night. A visit to the vet, what I thought would happen did. The vet said his heart was giving out,and the decision was made. The vet made it very peaceful .
Mommy & Daddy will miss you so very much. Kisses and lots of hugs, always.
