Funeral services for Mrs. Clara A. Hughes, who died Wednesday in her home, 1416 Pennsylvania St., will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Moore Mortuary. Burial will follow in Crown Hill. Born in Vermont, Sept. 14, 1867 [headstone date is Sept 4, 1867], Mrs. Hughes came to Denver 55 years ago. She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Gus Baines, with whom she lived; a son, Glen P. Hughes, Santa Monica, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Thornton Adams, Mrs. John Tilson, both of California, and Mrs. James Majors, Kansas, and two brothers, George Batchelder and Lynn Batchelder, both of Kansas.
