Dewey Bowerman, Sweetwater, Dies

SWEETWATER (RNS) - Dewey R. Bowerman, 62, of 1200 Walnut, died at Simmons Memorial Hospital here at 8:30 p.m. Thursday following a long illness.

Born on April 28, 1899 in Ada, Okla., he had lived here 10 years and was employed as a service station attendant.

Funeral will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Fundamental Baptist Church with the Rev. Raymond Dunn, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Sweetwater cemetery under direction of Cate-Spencer Funeral Home.

Surviving are his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Ace Lezy of Morenci, Ariz., Mrs. Joe Meek of Ada, Okla., Mrs. R. T. Harveley of Missouri, and Mrs. J. C. Blair of Tucson, Ariz.; three sons, the Rev. R. Bowerman of Taramount, Calif., Bobby of Tucson, Ariz., and Buel of Ada, Okla., two step sons, Buford Williams, of Morenci, Ariz., and Fred Williams of Long Beach, Calif., two step-daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Duke of Beverly Hills, Calif., and Mrs. Doris Pate of Compton, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Lattie Gay and Mrs. Costie Files, both of Ada, Okla., four brothers, Hubert of Stratford, Willis of Oklahoma City, Albert of Cordell, Okla., and Henry of Phoenix, Ariz.
