Mrs. Matilda (Mosteter/sic) Acher, 70, of Springfield, died yesterday at St. John's hospital of a cerebral hemorrhage. For the last three years she had been in ill health.

Mrs. Acher had been a resident of Springfield for the last 30 years. She was born Nov. 9, 1878 [stone has 1869] at Waverly, O., a daughter of John and Mary Frey. During her early childhood, her family moved to Mechanicsburg. In 1900 she was married to Harvey George Mosteter. Mr. Mosteter died Oct. 31, 1930. They were the parents of six daughters and two sons, all of whom survive their mother.

Surviving are her husband, Joseph P.; six daughters, Mrs. Fairy Garner, who with her son, Brian, resided with her mother; Mrs. Anna Wright, Oregon; Mrs. Marie Fiedler, Mrs. Irma Quale, Mrs. June Duckett, all of city, and Mrs. Fern Huffman of Lovington; two sons, Harvey Mosteter, South Bend, Ind. and Thomas Mosteter, Chicago; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Services at Staab funeral home. Burial in Mechanicsburg cemetery.
