MRS. JONES, JAYTON, DIES

Sweetwater - Mrs. Fred V. Jones, 67, of Jayton, died at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday in Simmons Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Patterson Chapel of Memories here with burial in Sweetwater Cemetery. The Rev. Glen Roenfeldt, pastor of Roscoe Baptist Church, will officiate.

Born Maggie B. Brown in Ellis County on Aug. 7, 1893, she had lived in Jayton since 1926. She married Mr. Jones, Jayton rancher, in 1938.

Surviving are her husband; three sisters, Mrs. Alva Lauderdale of Jayton, Mrs. Ozella Montgomery of Seminole and Mrs. May Boyd of Sweetwater; three brothers, Rector Brown of Jayton, Hector Brown of Greenville, Miss. and Carl Brown of Sweetwater; a stepson, Thomas Bandy of California; three stepdaughters, Mrs. O. O. Smith of Abilene, Mrs. Harold Venable of Maywood, Calif.; and Mrs. Cecil Woodworth of Midland.
