Elizabeth A. "Libby" Keiffer, 87, of Pleasant View Retirement Community, 544 N. Penryn Road, Manheim, formerly of 27 Market Square, Manheim, died Wednesday night at Lancaster General Hospital after a brief illness. Mrs. Keiffer and her husband owned and operated the former Miles H. Keiffer Electrical Engineering and Construction Co., Manheim, for more than 50 years until 1986. A lifetime member of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, Manheim, she was active in church activities in her early years. She served as secretary on the administrative board and participated in many committees, including Altar Guild and the missions committee. In 2000, Mrs. Keiffer founded Manheim Preservation Foundation Inc. The Miles Keiffer Museum, located in the Keiffers' former home on Market Square, opened in 2001. The museum includes the best of the couple's antique collection and is a reflection of Manheim history. Mrs. Keiffer also served on the Manheim Historical Advisory Board and belonged to Manheim Historical Foundation. She was a member and past matron of Lititz Springs chapter of the Order of the Amaranth. She was a life member of The Lincoln Fellowship of Pennsylvania and a member of Stiegel Roses senior citizens group, Manheim. Born in Manheim, she was the daughter of the late Harry J. and Mary A. Arndt Angstadt. Her husband, Miles H. Keiffer, died in 1975. The last of her immediate family, she is survived by nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Howard James, Jay Gerald, Donald Bern and Harry Angstadt; and two sisters, Mary E. Powers and Julia F. Angstadt.
