Mrs. Walton Rites Wednesday in Sweetwater

Sweetwater - Funeral for Mrs. Annie L. Walton, 77, who died at 6:30 p.m. Monday in Simmons Memorial Hospital, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in West Side Baptist Church. The Rev. Malcolm Brown, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church of Sweetwater and the Rev. Neal Shepherd of Brownwood, will officiate. Burial will be in Sweetwater Cemetery with Patterson Funeral Home in charge.

Born Jan. 15, 1891 in Rusk County, she married Henry Lee Walton on Aug. 8, 1909 at Chaney. They lived in Sweetwater since 1942.

Survivors include her husband; seven sons, Lee, George and Syeous, all of Odessa, H. L. Jr. and Loyd Gene, both of Abilene, Jimmy of Sweetwater, and Wayne of Hurst; three daughters, Mrs. Ada Sanders and Mrs. Ernest Shuler, both of Sweetwater and Mrs. Dow Wilson of Atlanta, Ga.; 32 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Three children preceded her in death.

Pallbearers will be J. C. Lewis, Bill Watkins, Walter Hamilton, Charles Powell, Bud Smith and James Shuler. Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Hawkins, J. J. S. Smith and M. C. Lewis.
