Earl Muncy, 79 of Newhall, WV died Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at his home. Born January 6, 1936 at Warriormine, WV, he was a son of the late Izear and Okie Altizer Muncy. He was a member of the Newhall Bible Church where he was deacon and superintendant of Sunday School. Earl retired as chief bush driver in 1992 after 27 years. He loved to fish, ride 4-wheelers and volunteer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Stella Rose Muncy; brothers, Cecil and Walter Muncy.
He is survived by his son, Dwayne Muncy and wife, Lindsay of Beckley, WV; daughters, Donna Hicks and husband, Danny and Dania Lockhart and husband, Jerry all of Newhall, WV; brothers, Kenny Muncy and wife, Rosie, Wilmer Muncy and wife, Helen, and Elmer Muncy all of Shop Hollow, WV, Eddie Muncy and wife, Cathy and Lawrence Muncy and wife, Madeline all of Warriormine, WV; sisters, Eloise Graham and husband, Lee of Cucumber, WV, Shirley Harman of Tazewell, VA, and Effie Collins and husband, Sherman of Shop Hollow, WV; grandchildren, Ruby Braxton and husband, Antoine, Emilee Wingo and husband, Derek, Arthur “June Bug” Hicks, Jr. and wife, Nikki, Amber Jackson and husband, Steve, Zachary Lockhart, and Beckett Muncy; great grandchildren, Nathan and Cadance.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home in Tazewell, VA with the Reverend Darrell Long officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA.
