Thomas McCabe, aged 74, a pioneer Emmet county resident and veteran of the Civil War, died at Petoskey Friday after a brief illness due to old age. He was a county poor commissioner. The death of a son, Judge Albert McCabe of the Philippines, two years ago was a shock from which the veteran never recovered. A widow and son, George McCabe, local hardware man, survive him.
