Alan C. Penn, 31, of Normal, died at 11:05 a.m., Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at his home.

His memorial Mass will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Epiphany Catholic Church, Normal with Rev. Eric Powell officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Normal. Visitation will be from 11:30-1:00 p.m., Tuesday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Marybeth Penn Scholarship Fund at Heartland Community College or to Epiphany Catholic Church.

Alan was born July 24, 1984 in Monmouth, the son of Donald J. and Beth L. Poland Penn.
He is survived by his parents, Don and Beth Penn of Normal; two sisters, Jonelle (Scott) Galuska of Colorado Springs, CO, Lorelei (Phil) Jackson of Fayetteville, NC, five brothers, Deron (Lori) Penn of Hudson, Barry (Jeannie) Penn of Stanford, Randall (Tiffany) Penn of Bloomington, Brendon (Barbara) Penn of Bloomington and Justin Penn of Normal; and 27 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, a sister, Marybeth Penn and a brother, Ryon Penn.

Alan graduated from Normal Community High School. He worked as an auto mechanic and was ASE Certified.

Alan was a computer enthusiast, an amateur inventor and loved music.
