Devoted husband, father and “Paw Paw”. Euford W. Johnson, 79, of Homewood, AL went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Brookwood Medical Center, surrounded by his family. Euford was born March 25, 1936 in Marion County, AL to Martha Adew and G.W. Johnson. Euford and his wife, Nellie, married in 1952. He worked for Coca-Cola Company from 1956 - 1964, and then began a used car business, Johnson Motors, that is still in business today, and is run by his two youngest sons and family friend Randy Pendley. He was also a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martha Adew and G. W. Johnson; his daughter, Donna Johnson Gay; and his brother, David Johnson. Euford is survived by his wife, Nellie Johnson; three sons, Terry (Jan) Johnson, Barry Johnson and Larry Johnson; five granddaughters, Allyson (James) Blue, Lauren (Matt) Brown, Julianne (Craig) McMannes, Georgia Johnson and Shelby Johnson; four great grandchildren, Anne Kirkland Brown, Campbell Blue, Reid Brown and Bennett McMannes; four siblings, Eules Johnson, Sue (Don) Bishop, Jim (Sarah) Johnson and Jerry (Anne) Johnson, family members John and Robbe Gay, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home with the funeral immediately following at 11:00 a.m.. Burial will be at Hopewell Cemetery following the funeral. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association.
