Funeral services for Irene Ruth (Albers) McComas were held Thursday at Minco United Methodist Church with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery in Minco. Services were under direction of McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service.
Mrs. McComas died Monday in a Chickasha health-care facility. She was born March 13, 1920, in Union City. She grew up in Union City and was a 1938 graduate of Union City High School. After high school she attended business college and worked as a bookkeeper at Mustang Field in El Reno during the war. She lived on a farm west of Pocasset, then moved to the Verden area where she and her husband farmed and ran a dairy before moving to Minco. She was a member of Minco United Methodist Church
She is survived by her husband, Garvin of the home, and a brother, Tony Albers of Union City.
